I was thinking about a cold air for my 2000 max, but $300 is a little much. Short ram would be nice. What if i just put a MAF adapter and a cone filter on? Would a CAI or Short ram have a lot higher gains than just the cone filter?

THERES BEEN A LOT OF TALK ABOUT WAI AND CAI. IF YOUR GONNA DO IT DO IT RIGHT. A SHORT RAM SUCKS. GAURANTEED LOSS OF POWER. CHECK MINE OUT. CLICK SECOND CARDOMAIN LINK.

build your own just get a nice cone k&n filter about 40$. A few pipes and bolts( maybe another 40$)and a few hours of work should be nice for a weekend project. I have the injen cai and its around 300$ its nice and everything but it can be hand made easily. Good luck

Maybe check your CAP's button and spelling too.

But anyway pherman, short rams don't suck. They just have different gains than cold air's do.

I'd check these threads out here, here, and here .

Then if you have a questions ask.
