Post

Hello I am very new to this forum and I recently purchased a 2005 altima 3.5 SE and I was looking at getting a cai installed on it and I've narrowed it down to a few different options.

1. K&n fipk kit (because of the oiled k&n filter, was going to see if it was possible to install an AEM dry filter on it)

2. Nismo cai (interested in this one because of the water bypass valve along with the fact that I can't pass up anything with the nismo logo on it lol)

I live in Montana so we have all extremes of weather from 120 degree summer days to -40 winters with snow rain an dust all the time so that's why the k&n is my first choice because it keeps the filter more protected from the elements in the engine bay as opposed to most other intakes where they relocate it to te wheel well or bumper. I just have heard horror stories about guys sucking water into their engine from it getting in their wheel well when they accidentally go trough a puddle. That's why I'm looking at the nismo kit with the bypass valve. I'd prefer the k&n if possible but will only run it with a aem dry filter. Any comments and help are greatly appreciated!

Can anybody give me some help here? Tax season is coming up and I'd really like to know which one to buy. I know people on here have used them but everybody is keeping their mouth shut and looking at my post and moving on. It's this supposed to be a place where people who own nissan or infinity vehicles can come to to get advice and such? Cuz I haven't seen any of that. Just hostility and ignorance. I APPRECIATE Y'ALL WASTING MY TIME!
