Best intake for '06 6MT coupe w/ mrev2 & 5/16ths?

Hi All,

I've been researching and would like to receive your input.

I've been reading nothing but good things about the MREV2 + 5/16ths spacer and plan on making these additions to my coupe.

I've been debating as to which intake would best suit this combination: The z-tube/k&n drop in filter combo or the stillen hi flow intake w/z-tube.

I've heard that the stock '06 airbox coupled with the z-tube/k&n drop filter has produced some of the best dyno results. What then would justify the exta $100+ for the stillen setup?

From my research on the intake. The Z tube is 5-6 hp and the JWT pop charger is 5-6hp. So that combo could be 10-12whp. That is my plan, plus the 5/16 spacer eventually.

Haven't found a K&N drop-in results.

If you have a 6MT 05-07 coupe, then get the MREV2 lower plenum. It will give you some of the best gains for the money.

As far as the intake, the Stillen and JWT are functionally the same...the Stillen looks a little nicer and therefore cost a little more.

The Z-tube is another really great mod as it removes the intake silencers from the OEM setup. This will give you a bump in HP...more than the filter, but less than the lower plenum/spacer.
