What's up all, I've been battling to satisfy my lighting needs on my 240 for quite some time. At first I was running some ebay h4 clear reflectors with some 5ks which wasnt all that bad, but still wasnt what I was looking for. Eventually one cracked so I replaced them with these which was silly of me because I know these are not giving the output they should http://www.ebay.com/itm/7x6-DIAMOND-BLA ... f8&vxp=mtr It almost seems like my lights arent on at all...however when I step out the car its looks pretty bright, but the road is not lit like it should. Anyway to get to the point here, are housings such as hella really worth buying as far as getting great light output? I even switched my bulbs with some 4300k oems...also my passenger side light is a different color than the driver side, I am using 2 different ballasts is that the reason? The bulbs are brand new. Last question projector vs reflector which gives better output? I know I'm rambling here but I need to know all this to put together a good setup. If anyone has pics of their 240 with some nice bright HIDS and can answer these series of questions, much appreciated I will be. Happy new year.

Cibie housings and H4 halogens.

If you want an HID setup, you are going to have to buy a pair of projectors for D2S bulbs and also a pair of halogen lamps for the highs and flash to pass.

Interesting, i would read through this thread which is also still on the first page a few posts below yours. ;)

Cibie housings and Philips Xtreme Vision H4's are probably the absolute best you can get halogen wise.

If you want HID's my favorite Plug and Play kit is the Halo Auto from Tokyo Japan. I have a kit currently for sale which you will also find in that thread linked above.

Good luck!

Alright thanks omega. Are cibies really the only way to go? I hear autopal is basically the same quality just a 1/3rd of the price. Also would Phillips extreme halogen be better output than a cheap eBay kit?
