Hey Guys,

I want to get myself a set of headers + y-pipe for my Altima Coupe 3.5. Which are the best ones?
I have seen some OBX headers online but I've heard they are shorty headers. Are long tube headers better? Sorry, I'm inexperienced with headers.

I am not sure if they are the best out there. So far, they are the only ones I have found. If anyone has any input on this please toss it up here. I've also heard Cattman makes them but I have not been able to find them.

Anyone have any experience with the OBX headers though?

Thanks!

I have heard that the reason there are so few vendors that produce headers for our cars is because they are exteremly labor intensive to install. You basically have to pull the motor to install them which is easily over $1,000 at a mechanic. I've only seen feeback from one person that bought OBX headers and he said they didn't fit well. You can search the forum and read up for yourself.

This.

Look at the pic in your link and the direction of the Y pipe in relation to the headers. The engine is mounted perpendicular to the car so three of the exhaust heads are actually right up on your firewall. Only way to get at them is to pull the engine.

i've heard from multiple people that headers for any VQ35DE don't really do much for the car power-wise

Actually stumbled on this today. Immediately came here to search it and sure enough found this thread. Everybody is on it here haha.

But I have a 2011, so doesn't seem like there is much at all out there engine/exhaust wise besides the ones already listed in the mod list on here.

Did you end up going through with it? Or has anyone done it? What are the power gains and can the cvt handle it?
