Ok we are starting from nothing, ruined springs, shocks, and struts on a 90' 240 XE. So for $450-500 what spring/shock setup would you all figure the best for the money?

you forgot to mention the atrocious aero kit, jdm tyte interior, gay wheels, and that awesome wiper conversion.

Oh my...

Doesn't matter what kind of springs or shocks you'll get.... with rims that probably weigh 45lbs at each corner the unsprung weight will make the ride terrible enough.

Well...for $450-500 you could get KYB GR2 shocks and either Eibach Pro-Kits, H&R Sport and Tein S-Tech springs. I'd try to get new dust boots and possibly new strut mounts for the front too (KYB makes both of these products).

I got my GR2's, dust boots and mounts from Tirerack.

Nah man, I've got a better idea. Paint it bright *** green, slap some ugly graphics on it, and paint the wing, mirrors, and wheels orange.

Oh, and get a hood that looks like a giant set of dragons nostrils.

K.

NICO police rule book page 2156 article 59 states and I quote, "Not too much bashing on other members' vehicles will be permitted. Threads like this will then be closed or deleted and any record of a member posting this will lose this useful post and will have to type it again the next time this problem occurs and he/she will not like that."

Soooo...Maybe. MAYBE I mis quoted a lil bit, but yea you get the point.

So Greg, how'd I do?

He could probably get some 4 lug OE alloys with rubber for cheap right here on NICO. Anyway, even though the wheels are ugly fixing the suspension will make *driving* it more fun.

I'd work on the performance stuff now and fix the errr...aesthetic "issues" later.

try the suspension forum.

but im guessing you would enjoy the kyb/sportline setup, that should be fine. and some bigger/less bling wheels would look nice.

and i cant believe those ba$tard kids stole one of your wipers, thats just not cool.

it looks like your paint is in good shape btw.

I like Tokico's and you can get them for like $200 shipped on ebay, plus some good springs for $200 and you're set other than camber kits.
