Welcome aboard!

I'd definitely recommend the Stillen. They take good care of our members on pricing as well.

As far as the intake, I'd recommend the stock airbox and a Z-tube. About $50, and you don't run the risk of insufficient filtration.

I followed your advise on contacting Stillen. I was disappointed in the results. The person you pointed me to didn't know about the discount and said they had not figured that out yet for NICO members. Then he put me in touch with another rep who could answer some tech questions and discuss pricing, as he (Greg) was not familiar with the systems.

The rep I talked to seemed knowledgable, although somewhat casual, but when I asked him about pricing he didn't know and said he would need to talk to Greg. (Huh?!) I was put on hold. The hold timed out and the phone began ringing. I stayed on and listened to it ring for awhile ( 20 times?) and then gave up.

Call me impatient but I decided to go with Borla after that. The guys at Everything G35 had it in stock and were very knowledgable and helpful. It's possible that it may not produce the MOST HP but I'll give a couple HP up for good service.

I'm certainly not blaming any of the above on your referral, just thought you should know.

Not a fan of the Borla - I think you'll be disappointed in the sound.

I'll get with our Stillen rep and see what's up.

Why? Is it weak? too quiet? Too loud?

I want a little louder and a little lower than the stock sound. Of course, a performance gain would be nice too... That's my first priority.

The Stillen rep I spoke with said there is no difference in performance just the dual wall looks more stock then the single wall.

PS, he did not know anything about the discount and he said he even spoke with the owner.

The people at stillen suck and try as hard as they can to play dumb with any discounts!!! They do however make good products. I had Borla in my 05 and stillen in my 06 liked them both. I think Greddy or Magnaflow for my 08..I truly believe with stillen & borla you pay extra for there name..

I was going to go with tanabe but they diden't have a true dual exhaust and couldn't match the power gains of stillen.

i have the tanabe medallion touring on my G. i like it because it has that mature exhaust note. doesn't have that ricey quality. you should check it out. you might be apt enough to buy one yourself.

I have the Greddy EVO2. No rice, just deep and roars at WOT.

I installed the Injen Cat back and HFC's. I have a nice sound, kind of loud according to my wife. Especially when just cruising at low RPM's. If I run the AT in 3rd gear over 3000 RPM it quiets down a bit, but theres definitely a roar near by above that when I step on it. The Kinetix SSV, z-tube and JWT make this happen. I tghink I will replace the Z-tube and JWT with a cold air intake by Injen. It's also chrome. I dusted a Pontiac GTO yesterday. This guy pulled up next to me down the road and said the GTO sounded like his transmission was going to go trying to keep up. Anybody out there think of a way to get more power out od what I have installed so far? I read the forum often and am interested in a Supercharger. It's kind of expensive, and my wife wants to get rid of her mini van... What about Cams?
