About a year ago i decided to cut the stock muffler of and weld on a spin tech. While it did add some rumble to my car I instantly noticed i lost torque and honestly its not the best looking muffler lol. Looking to see what what up you guys have. Im leaning towards straight pipes as they sound amazing! But I also plan on knocking out a Z32 transmission swap this year and I did see how wes needed to get rid of the pre-cats in order to clear the transmission/starter. BUT i heard you lose a s*** load of torque with the straight pipes. Any input on my best option?

Staright pipes are -meh- for power and sound . If I were you I'd just run the stock size exhaust tubing into a 3" ID y-pipe. Crazy sounding, it pretty much screams at you with a good y-pipe and no muffler, but yet it's quieter than true duals and makes more power from mid-top with maybe a small loss down low if your car isn't modded.

Sounds good but what the fitting it with a Z32 transmission? It should just go ahead and get rid of the pre-cats now huh?

Yeah. And if you're doing that run 2.5" from the headers to the y-pipe and the merge should be about 15*.
