My budget isn't an issue, from the cat back, what would you guys recommend? I want power gains and low tone, no ricey s***! Sorry if this has been covered before but I'm in a hurry and trust the opinions I get here (usually frequent the Z32 forums).. I'm leaning toward HKS, but any input would be greatly appreciated! 2.5" or 3" downpipe? HKS or MagnaFlow? etc. etc..

As for suspension, I'm completely open (aside from eBay).. I want to lower the Max.. but want good performance as well.. any advice?

I highly recommend BRM Exhaust systems. Greg(AZHitman) runs the business and they're excellent systems at a great price. They all come with Magnaflow components, which out of everything I've heard, magnaflow sounds the best without giving you that pricey sound. I'm planning on getting one of the systems for my I30 soon as well.

Check out this thread on them: 3-performance-catback-for-nissan-maxima ... 30687.html

Ah, I forgot about these.. I like the sound and stock look. I suppose 2.5" piping with a 22" resonator would give it the deepest tone? I wish there were videos with different setups..

EDIT: There are, just searched YouTube and they have different vids of different setups.. most are on 240s though..

I would go with the setup you mentioned personally. I wouldn't recommend going with a 3" unless you plan on boosting it really soon, because you'll lose a lot of back pressure IMHO. I'd wait for Greg to respond to your questions about it(I get copied on the e-mails) to get a more detailed opinion on it, since he knows a little more about them though.

Here are a couple of vids with similar Magnaflow setups, to give you an idea of the sound:

Yeah I've watched them all.. happen to know the setup in the second vid? On my phone it just says muffler.. I plan on boosting it but not in the near future, though when I do I suppose I'll have to buy an entirely new setup for 3" piping? I plan on getting a hi flow cat as well.. thanks for your input man I completely forgot about these pipes.

After speaking with Greg, I'm leaning toward hi flow cat -> 2.5" -> 22" resonator, dual tip, still debating on stainless or aluminized.. if and when I end up boosting, I don't think I'll be going beyond 8psi so there's no need for 3" piping.. though I do like the sound of the 3" w/ the 30" res in the first vid when accelerating.. sounds MEAN! But I like the idle sound in the second vid better.. bah!

I want as close to the G35 sound as I can get, I know it's single vs dual exhaust but if I can just get close lol

As far as suspension goes there's a good amount out there. I had BC Racing on my car, and it seemed like a pretty good setup. That car was totaled, so they are available if your interested.

I had looked at Eibach, but that's as far as it went, more focused on exhaust right now as the previous owner of my Max had the OEM chopped lol.. but I'm definitely interested PM me! \m/
