best engine swap for a 200 sx??

I'm looking to do an engine swap on my 1995 200sx. I have a "no pwer" GA16DE. What engine will be the esasier to do a swap? Will the GTI-R wiould do it , how easy will be??? Thanks

sr20de, totally modable, besides that engine was an option in the 200sx, makes it an ser model. so fittiment and swap will be pretty easy. you wil need the ECM and harness to do it though.

You will also need the 200sx SE-R cross member, tranny, axles and motor/tranny mounts. If you want a turbo motor, go with a Avenir or Blue Bird. GTiR is more involved and more tuning.

Are you really set on swapping you engine. If so it'll set you back about 5k. And you need alot more parts than what was listed. If you aren't set on swapping you may wanna check out what the Ga16 can do. There are a few people who have broke the 200hp mark. If you wanna talk to some people with Ga16DET's then go to that dead forum. There is all sorts of good info bout the swap and turboing there

I agree it will cost more than a normal swap. But what is listed should be all that is needed, minus things like spark plugs, antifreeze, oil and changing the water pump. Which are normal things involved in a swap anyways.
