so im rebuilding my engine and i stripped everything off of it and started taking it apart starting from the bottom. I removed the oil pan by wedging a knife and helping it with a hammer. The top one is a bit trickier, it seems like i cant wedge anything in there. I dont want to make any grooves in it, so i was wondering what is the best/easiest way to do it? I searched, but didnt get any pointers, thanks for any input

Make sure you have all the bolts off. There are two that connect it to the front cover on the inside.I slid a paint scraper in mine and just worked around it

Good thing its not on the car, make sure you remember where all the bolts go and take your time!
