I'm new to NICO I've mainly been in car audio doing big systems and now that I've finished that I want to do a few performance upgrades. It's just a 2.5 so I know I won't be walking anyone but I do like to get a bit of power when I decide to floor it and play around.

So I guess my question is what would u suggest starting with in upgrades that give a good return. I have an intake and I plan to get my cat back in a week but outside of that what would be good to start next?

Would a turbo be worth looking into and if so where can I find a decent one? Or would u say change my headers or something else?

Lol now I know.. I heard the eBay headers were pretty decent I don't remember which brand but their very comparative to the stillen but way less expensive.. Any truth to this and do u think OT was well worth it?

Haha sorry I'm on my phone at work I meant it instead of OT. Well as of now I don't see them on eBay so I couldn't even guess at which brand it is. How much did you get your stillen for

Ooh okay. I paid almost 400 for them I think. Ive had em for about 7 months. Only problem I see is a little rusting.

Top Speed sells headers for a low price, not sure how much. From what I hear, the bully dog tuner seems to be the best performance mod.

I also plan to lower my car with the eibach springs I like those and I can get them relatively good prices too. But the bully dog tune where can I get one at, like what auto place or will have to call around and see who has the programmer

The ebay headers (top speed) are very nice and in my opinion they are much better made then the stillen one. the only problem is the bottom flange is pointing in the wrong direction and you cant mount it to the transmission, probably can just cut the flange a lil and mount it, everything else looks good.

Unsure if they're coated inside. But the coating on the outside is still there. Honestly the mods which I did feel a difference was headers and BD tune. Not much though. Intake, exhaust and lightweight pulley didn't really feel a difference. Could be that I started with intake then headers.

thats the thing, a real ceramic coating job for an exhaust/intake application is both inside and out. Coating just the outside protects the outside, but the inside can rust out from moisture in the exhaust gases. stillen uses mild steel on the headers which is why they discolor, you want high grade 304 stainless steel for a performance exhaust. You will definitely get an increase in performance from a LW pulely, especially on a MT, and its the cheapest mod performance wise i think we have! If I was to do performance mods I would do LW pulley, LW flywheel/performance clutch, Design an intake/headers/exhaust/intake manifold, then tune, then better tires and wheels. HP wise overall? turbo would be the way to go!

If you are looking for a catback exhaust system I have mine for sale. Only had it for 2 months. Top speed catback exhaust. Perfect condition.

I heard turboing our cars is a big no-no.

You can turbo most any engine, QR25DE was the first on the forum to turbo the 2.5 i think on this forum. And last I heard no problems. Depends on how you do it, 5-7psi wont hurt it too much and I believe you will get around 100Whp gain

If he has MT, sure no problem... Just don't do that to a 2.5 CVT.
