I know this has been asked before but updated info is better.

I like the price tag on those XTD clutches but I worry that nobody has had one long enough to know about their longevity and they might be short lived.

So, for the money and for not having to replace it soon, what is the best clutch choice for a ~270 - 290HP agressive street application?

I've installed the XTD unit in two separate vehicles (one new clutch per vehicle) and both ended up with a clutch pedal so soft it felt like pushing air.

The clutches did bed in pretty quickly, but I'm not impressed with the pressure plate. I'm sure the disc itself would hold the torque they claim, but I have my doubts as to the ability of the pressure plate. It's quite notably softer than a stock pedal.

I hear a lot of that. I'm not sure why that is or how much it matters other than "feel."

The main thing is, I haven't heard from anyone who has had one for a significant amount of time.

My fear is that once under higher power (in your expected range), it will slip. In my opinion, it's worth the extra hundred or so bucks to get one that has a good track record.

yeah i was reading around on here awhile back and someone said they got the same XTD clutch ben and i got ... and it went out after about 5-8k miles ... he had a ka-t setup i think, pushing out ~300whp? ... I think I need to bleed mine out a bit more. there's a funny feeling in it.
