Stock clutch is giving up and need to replace. What has worked for those of you out there? Looking at ACT and Centerforce...good/bad? Any other suggestions. Thanks

Centerforce is garbage for the Z32, stay away from that.

Look into ACT, RPS, and clutchmasters. All 3 make strong, streetable, reliable clutches that can hold a lot of horsepower.

I had a clutchmasters clutch on my car with some basic bolt ons (intake, exhaust, testpipes, downpipes, computer, boost controller, etc). I now run an OS Giken twin disk.

Also, while doing a clutch make sure you get an aluminum flywheel, makes a world of difference on the 300ZX.

And...

Welcome to NICO! Good to have more Z people around

I've had bad luck with clutch master but I'm sure 50,000 have had good experience with them, the stock setup should hold 400hp just fine unless you do muc drag racing, althout I'm sure the performance usits cost about as much and the oe replacements

Thanks for the info. What clutch master clutch did you both use? Stage 1 or stage 2?

Jerry, NSRz32, used the Jim Wolf Technology clutch for his Z. Not sure of the "stage" but it had a white pressure plate and was rated to like 500hp I believe. Its made by Clutchmasters for JWT even though JWT doesn't admit it. Jerry used to work for them so he knows

JWT or RPS...I just installed an RPS and I love it, but it's just the street clutch so it may not be what you are looking for, I also installed a fidanza flywheel and so far no complaints.
