i have the intake runners (kade) seperated in halves and now want to throughly clean the insides. right now they are soaking in a solvent/gas mixture.

can anyone recommend a better solution. preferably something i can get easily at the corner parts store.

i just hoping to sidestep the time factor. oh well. the straight die grinder with brush attachment and liberal doses of carb cleaner do the trick.

Rock the toothbrush then, maybe a wire one too to get the real hard crap out. I'm sure when you take them out of the solvent it'll fall right off. Probably won't have any need for that die grinder.

its sitting in a puddle of carb cleaner/brake cleaner. definitely a no smoking area right now. most of the runners are clean now. just a light coating or residue. but no more huge carbon deposits. i dont know the exact history of this motor other than it was pulled for an sr swap. buy it had lots of crud in the intale.
