Another one of those comprehensive post attempts here. There was only one or two threads related to car wax quality. So I'm looking to start a one stop shop thread for the various types of car wax, is it easily acquired or does it require some sort of special order, pricing, ease of application, etc.

Again, I realize I am new to the forums but am trying to streamline some info if it is possible.

One word. Autogeeks.net. ( http://www.autogeek.net/ ). But hold on to your checkbook because once you get started it's hard to stop.

I just bought the 7424 Polisher with the Light Swirl Kit but I haven't even used it yet. My car is Black so it seems to have light swirls although I have only had it for a few months and have babied it. Their tech support is good and the videos are excellent. I have pinnacle polish and Mothers wax. I have clay and other stuff but I don't remeber the bland right now.

How do you guys feel about the Sheepskin/Mesh 2 sided mitts? I am a little skeptical about using the mesh on the paint, but it says they are awesome for removing bugs/etc Have any of you used them before?

BTW, love the site so far. Its very nice going through all of the how-to's. I have alot of time on my hands here to kill and learning how to keep my G looking new for as long as possible is a good way to do it

Haven't tried them. I plan to try out the 7424 Polisher this weekend.

My brother swears by Griot's Garage, http://www.griotsgarage.com, when I bought my G37 in Nov. he sent me a starter car care kit #11131. He keeps his Lotus Elise in tip top shape, so I have to assume he knows what he talking about. This is my first luxury/sports car so I don't have much experience with the wax and stuff, but after using the Paint Cleaning Clay and Best of Show Wax I am amazed at how much more beautiful the finish looks, it ads a depth to my ivory pearl that wasn't there before.I like the fact that Griots puts their 'spray on products' in industrial use spray bottles and that the instructions on the containers are well thought out and help to get the best from the product.Again, as Foresite referred to, this stuff ain't cheap!Dave - and no, I'm not affiliated with Griot's.
