I was a fan of Automobile seemed to be the faiest/most accurate along with not being "snobby", but I haven't read anything (other than online) regularly in years.

Definately SCC. I think I have like the last 5 years of them stacked up in a pile. At first I thought the technobabble was stupid then I matured to the point where I somewhat get what Dave is talking about.

SCC is probably tops among the general enthusiast types.. I like it. But I like UK magazines better. They get most all the good cars that Asian countries get, and you can read the magazine to boot!

Yeah, so are most of the 240's in the articles. As far as I'm concerned, Turbo, Import Tuner, and SS are worthless. SCC on the other hand appeals to a broader crowd. While they have the show stuff, they do get pretty technical which I like. I also read Road and Track, Automobile (occasionally), Sports Car (SCCA magazine) and the monthly SCCA news paper thing.

CAR magazine is the best. top gear and EVO also very good, but nothing beats CAR's unapologetic bashing of american auto buying trends. LoL-Enzo

SCC - for their technical insight. So far no other magazine has done so much to bring us the level of technical knowledge as SCC has. Few other magazines tailored towards sport compacts have engineers actually writing articles for them.

I like Sport Compact Car personally and I have heard that Grassroots Motorsports is also a fine magazine.

My favorite magazines:

---HPi (Austrailian KICK *** MAG, full of true-jdm cars imported to Aus. plus they give you a poster every issue. Not a ricey mag at all, great tech articles too)

---Grassroot Motorsports (what the name implies, great tech articles--just as good or if not better than SCC's, great info about amateur racing events, esp. autoX events, usually have articles about obscure cars with great racing potential)

--EVO (UK) great photography!

--Top Gear (because they do insane stuff)and lastly,

---SCC (i have yet to renew my subscrip, their mag has been going downhill in the past year, but it's still one of my favs)

GRM is good stuff. I think their tech articles actually are better than SCC. SCC has higher production values and is probably a more entertaining read, but I think the info in GRM is more useful.

I go for SCC and GRM when I want some technical info and MAX Power (UK) when I want to just look at some crazy cars. I mean come on nice cars, half naked british tarts, whats not to like?

5.0 Mustangs and other Fast Fords:ylsuper

ok not really, it's an ok mag though.

so's Mopar Muscle and Super Chevy

oh, Dupont Registry rocks too, I like to day dream while flipping through it.

I do like Automobile, SCC (it's going the way of super street it seems though, I remember when it used to be WAY more technical) C & D isn't too bad most of the time, they have amusing drivers:D

I don't read any magazines on a monthly basis though (I'm cheap!)

Automobile Magazine is best -- It was written for humans and enthusiasts. And its for grown-ups.

I love all the reporting on new models, the auto industry, and the sociopolitical aspects of the automotive world. Yes kids, there's more to cars than the size of your fartcan.

I really like Car and Driver's editorials though.

I love the 'JDM' mags, they have great pictures, and DIY articles that are generally pictures.

I flipped thru one of my friend's and it had a DIY picture by picture about how to do an alignment in your driveway. Answer: in a hard, time-consuming way.

From what I've read so far magazine wise that I like is Sport Compact Car and Car and Driver. I've probably read a few others but I'm not sure nor know the names of them.

Of the major consumer based magazines, I prefer Road & Track. If only for their technical data pages. They are just much easier to follow and tend to be more comprehensive. I do like motor trend in a close second only because they tend to be a little more enthusiastic about making things better and testing more of the tuner cars. Though I used to have an old Road and Track Issue that tested 6 tuner cars from Japan. I think 2 of them were skylines, 2 RX-7's and well, I cant remember the rest. This was back in 93 or something. I think that's when I started getting excited about this stuff...
