I'm going to be in need of new pads and rotors soon, the front ones now are a little warped and the pads are squeeking sometimes. Anyways, right now i don't think i could do the 300zx conversion, i'm just looking for a good set of performance pads/rotors that'll fit my car.

Like what kind of pad (i don't know much) i've heard of carbon fiber, metallic, semi-metallic? I"m lookin for the best combo, and for the rotors, should i bother w/ cross drilled or slotted?

I'm planning to go autocrossing again soon, but im looking for some brakes that'll handle it decently. Can someone link me to a good place that sells them? (inexpensive preferably :-) Thanks

This should really be moved to Technical.

http://www.tirerack.com sells EBC products as well as Hawk brake pads. EBC has slotted rotors that would work well with their pads. http://www.pdm-racing.com also sells brake components as well as many others. Let us know if you don't find anything at either of these places.

Get KVR cross-drilled rotors from PDM-RACING.COM They are gold-cadmium plated, and paired with KVR carbon-kevlar brake pads, they stop pretty damn well, in my opinion. I was in the same position as you, warped front rotors. I changed the pads/rotors, and the braking is much better now, and more responsive as well.MARC

They're world renowned as the best! I'd say the top 3 brakes for US would be: Brembo, Wilwood, 300zx.

I have cross-drilled rotors on my rear brakes with carbon fiber pads. They're rather nice when it comes to stopping. :) Once I have the money, the front brakes will be upgraded with the same parts as well.

Yeah, I wish wilwood would come out with a big brake kit for the 240sx. I got one on the civic, stops on a dime and costs less much less than the price of the brembo kit (about $700), and the calipers (dynalite II) weigh only 2.5 pounds. I would buy those in a second, if I had some money......

I think im going to go with some regular flat vented brembo rotors I found. I've been reading too many horror stories with drilled rotors and i'm looking for these to last a while. I'm also going to try and get carbon fiber pads. What do you all think?
