a manual one.... why spend $450+ on something that you can buy for $80 and not have the headache of having to program it

....or build your own......http://www.geocities.com/chmwatson/FAQs/mbc.html

Depends on how much boost you're looking at. If you want to stay 1 bar and under, just go with an HKS adjustable wastegate.

After doing my own research, I went with the Greddy Profec B, not to be mistaken with the Greddy Profec B Spec II. It's simple, has two boost settings and a gain setting. Very easy to set up and use. Haven't had any issue.

I run a DIY MBC at 15psi and love it. Once set, no issues.

I had one of the Turbo XS MBCs and it was awesome. It was jacked when I totaled my last car (grumble grumble).

why isn't the HKS EVC 6 an option? Read up on it.

hands down best EVC for the $$ unless you have a different type of Fuel/Engine management system with it's own boost controller.

Here's the info, so you don't have to search yourself!:http://hksusa.com/products/more.asp?id=3208

accidently picked the greddy profec b 2. The profec b 1 was the best. Manuals are alright but are known to have boost spike.

I've used the Greddy Profec B and then stepped up the the Profec B Spec2 a few years back. Both work great, the Spec2 takes a little more effort to tune but it has great features. I vote Profec B Spec2.

my profec B 2 was crap in 6 months, I recently am running a HDI spc-d which was the best 160 for the money for an extra 50 you can install a turbo timer/ methanol injection cpu system it has low/ hi settings with a usa made solenoid. The AVCR was my #1 choice but as I don't really dragrace the features on that boostcontroller + the price were not justifiable to me. This controller is just an option incase you have not heard about them

I'm very satisfied with my Perrin manual boost controller. No spikes or anything silly.

I have the HKS EVC 5, had the AVCR and the Blitz SBC ID Spec R. Personally, the AVCR is the best if you set everything up. It can be setup so boost builds up faster (it is my feeling only, have no proof what so ever), but it looks so 80s. The SBC ID is the easiest to use, just set boost level and it will do the rest for you. The HKS is somewhat in the middle, but it looks the best (again, personal taste). For the Greddy Profec B spec, it is like the cheaper one Greddy sells with a digital screen (HKS ones is like that, but the screen actually does more than just showing numbers).

Best for the money? MBC is it. I got all mine USED for 200 (AVCR), 220 (HKS) and 300 (Blitz with the meter thing). If you can spend 300 on a EBC, look up the for sale sections and you will find yourself a good deal.
