was wondering what the best oil clearance is for high performance engines? i've read that race pros use a bigger clearance to reduce friction but this cause more wear and race engines are rebuilt regularly anyhow. any ideas? what do you guys use?

Standard clearance is just fine. Don't want this engine too loose or one of the rods may get restless and want to poke its head out of the block. Keep it simple and stick with the norm.

Stock specs have been used on MANY high HP CA's and have been fine. Look up the clearances in the FSM and stick to them and you'll be fine.
