Personally, I can't see spending much over 300 on a clutch kit. But if it's really worth it, I might shoot for it. I won't be going over 300HP so Stage 3 should be fine. Looking here http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/...hYN=N Whats everyones opinion? Feel free to comment one that isn't listed.

How modified are you, and how modified do you plan to be. Don't buy more clutch than you need. Getting too much can make for a car that is no fun to drive, and costs you money in the clutch, and in transmissions.

I want to make my s13 into a track car, so first think I need is responsiveness and handeling. So, for now I'm doing fidanza flywheel, gutting the car, aluminum driveshaft, KYB suspension (Still thinking about that), and obviously a nice set of light rims and good tires.

I assume there will be more, but yes, it sounds like a clutch is for you. I was only going to suggest a 240Z clutch if you were relatively unmodified, but it sounds like your goal is clear. I am going to be using a Centerforce Stage 5 from the SOHC. Just happened to get it on a good deal with the flywheel, thanks Drizzit!

Be sure to let us know how that Stage 5 is!! I have the Centerforce Stage 2 and love it, but i dont plan on anything over 200-220 hp when all is said and done.

dont know if anyone ever tried but how bout just buying a sprung performance disk? dont know if its in your budget or if you can get from any oem car but a set of lower(numeri higher) gears will give you some real good acceleration....at a cost of some high speed though

Btw, I have tried a spec clutch(highest stage as of 2001), act and centerfrce. I forget the prices but they all worked fine for me. I have seen the cntrforce dualfriction explode the discs quite a few times and sometimes the weights try (it seems)to engage with the clutch pedal in and revving high at the same time. kinda hard to explain.

Go with the ACT. I had one on my FC and it was an awesome clutch. I would have put one on my S14 but it's not worth the price since I'm not pushing enough HP to warrant the $$$ for it.

Well, I have been told it will be difficult to drive. The guy I got it from had it on an all out race car, so that will be fun. But other than that I bet it is good. I need to change the input shaft seal on my trans (I think) before I turbo, so I will just change it with the flywheel then.

Yes, and the pressure plate holds another 60 lbs of force. Not a huge upgrade, but good if all you have are a few bolt ons. Plus it's cheaper. I have one I am about to sell if you are interested.

Is that the only part from the 240Z that is interchangable?

What would you like to know about it? I am asking 80 obo, it has been installed but never ran. I need to keep the drift and TO, so you would be getting the disc and pressure plate (with tool, I have 3 of them). Email me if interested.

we have a stage 3 4 puck SPEC on my bro's S13 HB.It's a little harsh for everyday driving IMHO.Feathering or a high rev is required for a smooth launch.I hear the Stage 3 SPEC 6-puck is little better...

Just my 2 cents
