I have an 2010 Infiniti G37 sedan. The dealership wants me spend $600 on front and rear brakes. I would like to know what are the best after market brakes I can get. I don't want to spend a lot of money to ge them fixed, because the car is a lease.

Appreciate all the help.

We talking rotors & pads? There are several different routes you can go for $600.

No just looking for pads. The car is a lease so I don't want to spend to much money on getting new pads.

WOW... $600 is a bit steep for some pads & installation. You can get aftermarket pads, rotors, brake lines & brake fluid for that much cheddar.

How about some HAWK HPS pads $135 shipped to Florida? You will have to install them yourself, but this is not a problem even if you have never done it before. Then you just saved yourself $465....

$135 for pads isn't bad at all. I can have one of my buddies install them for me. Are Hawk HPS good quality after market pads though? Just want to get good quality pads and not have to pay an arm and a leg for them. Thanks for helping me out with this.

They are a good pad for daily driving and some auto cross abuse.

Any other brands you would recommend around this price?

Are you sure the dealership is not replacing any rotors for that price? If your rotors are trashed then simply replacing pads won't help for long.

Yeah thats what they told me. Rotors are fine just need new front and rear brakes. I see you have Hawk pads. How are they? Are there any other brand brakes you would recommend?

HAWK, Project MU, Stoptech Posi Quiets.... this list can go on forever. If you just drive the car on a daily basis any of those brands will work better than OEM. I can get you OEM pads as well and you can install them.

Hawks are in the rear so I don't really notice them as much as the Project mu. The Project mu are a more aggressive pad and you really can't come to an ultra smooth stop with them, which is fine by me. The Hawk would probably be better for day-to-day but I would have to refer to someone with front Hawks.

I'm running hawk HPS on all four wheels... love them... very progressive stopping power. So you lose the touchy huge bite of the stock pads with just low pressure braking; some people like the immediate grab of the stock pads, but i dont.
