So im going to be Plasti-Dipping my '02 17's soon and dont want to leave the centre caps silver nor do i want to Plasti-dip right over the Nissan logo. I pryed a centre cap off today and found out that the Nissan logo is just held on with some adhesive and two centering holes.

I want to keep the Nissan logo the stock chrome but I may spray them with red Plasti-dip because the fake 'chrome' is peeling away from a couple of them.

So what I'm asking is what adhesive should I use to re-install them? Either way they will be getting removed whether I plasti-dip the logos or not.

Thanks!

Do the nissan emblems have tabs sticking out on the back of the center cap? I know mine did so i just popped them out, then i put them back in and used $1 epoxy kit - tube A tube B, you mix the two together throw some on the back around the tabs and it will hold it fine.

Mine have two holes with just stubs coming off the back of the emblem. Not really clips they're just there to keep the thing centred. I ll figure something out I guess. I just want to be able to remove them just incase I need to remove the Plast-Dip for some reason.

P.S you Americans have it lucky...Cheapest place I can get a can for here is $15.95 at Performance Improvements.

I used 3M adhesive molding tape to secure my rear hatch Nissan logo after the two retaining pins broke. Still there after 6 months or so.

I'll definitely go to my local hardware store to see if they have some sort of tape! Thanks!

I did the same, used 3m tape also. My pins didnt break, I just wanted to cut the "hamburger buns" off the logo and paint it black (didnt like the chrome). 3m tape has been holding up well. No probs so far.

Yeah, thought that term was funny first time I heard it also, I think it was somewhere on this site.

Here is a pic of the badge "bunless" and adhered using 3m tape. Been thru 2 winters and hi-pressure car washes etc..
