im looking for 2 8in subs for my miata. im seein what you guys think are good ones. I dont want to spend more than $100 a piece. I was looking at the infiniti's and imagine dynamics and the JBL's but i really dont know which ones are good or bad

First, a 8in isn't a subwoofer, it is simply a woofer, more accurately described as a midbass driver. It'll play lower then your mains, but not that low.

I'd recommend a single 12in sub that requires very little space, but note that it'll rtequire alot of power if it takes up little air space. In the end I think that'd be more satisfying then two 8s

well see i have a 10in in my trunk but im tired of my trunk rattling and not getting all the bass. So im modeling this box i saw where it fits 2 8in subs on the rear deck in a cool lil box. the thing is the box really isnt wide enough to fit a 12. at least i dont think so. it might. but who knows. ill keep that in consideration.

Look at a brand called Credence. The company sells them on eBay and they used to make Kicker's subs for them and these are the exact same thing without the Kicker logo on them.

You can get the original round Kicker Solobarics for $69 pair plus shipping. I had them behind the back seat of a Nissan Frontier and they were great.

I've got the 12" Solobarcis in my Tiburon right now and the Comp series 12's in my wife's Elantra. You can't go wrong and you can't beat the price.

See if Circuit City will let you test fit Bazooka tube. As much as people look down on them, they work well for these type of applications.

I've heard a lot of good things about image dynamics. I'm not sure which are the best bang your the buck though.

I may be wrong, but there are some 8" and even 6.5" drivers classified as strictly subwoofers by their companies. The 6.5" "subwoofer" I'm talking about is made by elemental designs.
