One of my pet peeves has always been that the hood did not lay flush with one of my fenders. The outer "hood bumpers" are adjustable, but they break down after a while. For $4.10 you can replace one of these and make the fit look perfect again!

One of my pet peeves too. Mine lasted for 16 years, until I tried to back it out a little and it got crispy. I just ordered some stuff from Joe and forgot !!

Ps: The Ford ones won't fit.

I too have forgotten to order some, every time I get parts.

I took some garden hose gaskets, and added them to the crispy rubber, then used electrical tape to hold them together. It works for a few months, until the electrical tap starts to loose it's adhesion.

I need some interior bulbs, for the doors and cruise control as well.

Jed -

Did you get this from Joe? I just had a look today at the doors on my '91Q, and the little rubber bumper/spacer nubbins are bent/pushed off/torn. I'd like to replace those, but couldn't find them on Joe's somewhat arcane or incomplete menu. Thanks - Pat

Pat, many times unusual parts arent listed in his database... you can generally search part numbers and find them.....

Thanks Wes -

I'll give that a try tomorrow. I'm now trying to firm up the body, doors, and various panels, to make it more of a "thunk" rather than a "clank" when I close the doors. The adjustment of the door striker is just step one. - Pat

If the striker adjust doesnt do anything, take off the door panel and tighten the door handles.....

Hmm, no real luck on finding those parts. They're not in the FSM, as near as I can tell, so I can't identify them by name, you know, like "escutcheon" or "pawl" or those common terms that are used in the FSM. I'm not really sure how to go about searching by part number, if I don't have the part number ahead of time, and there doesn't appear to be a way to browse. I guess I can always go in to the dealer and introduce myself, though. - Pat

Nope, Wes, these are little rubber bumper things, or were at one time. Now the rubber is bent off or torn, and it's a little metal bump. I'll go out tomorrow morning and look and attempt to ID it a little better. It's on all four door openings, however, and both of them on the driver's side are toast. Haven't looked at the other side. I know the covering on the striker that you're referring to, and that's messed up, too. - Pat
