My head unit is laying in the hole left by the factory head unit. It was taken out by the guy who owned the car before me so I don't have the factory radio mounts. I bought a dash kit but it needed the factory radio mounts to put it in. Today I just got another dash kit that doesn't need the factory mounts and supposedly works for my 91 240sx; however, I tried to put it in and it is too wide to fit in. I can force it in but then the console is stretched and the plastic piece that goes over the a/c unit and stereo and everything won't fit back on. So do any of you guys know of a dash kit that will for sure work for a 91 240?

I'd get the factory mounts online. I'm sure you can search and find them somewhere and they couldn't be that expensive. Besides that its just a double DIN hole so a universal pocket would work if your using a Single DIN radio.

DO NOT waste your time with aftermarket cd install kits. pay the whatever $ needed to get a set of stock s13 brackets. you just need a single din pocket, or be creative and pick up a drink holder pocket instead...either way, your cd player screws into the brackets and sits 100% flush against your trim w/o any aftermarket nonsense.

One of them is a second kill switch, another is turns on my NAWS system, and one for my HIDs, and one dials you mom, and the last one turns my 4spd auto into a 5spd. I don't have them in right now I figured I'll need some switches down the road, so I made a panel for them. better than staring at empty space. you could put gauges there, or hey! I'll sell you my stock pocket that is supposed to go there.

I think race car would have been a better analogy, seeing as race cars regularly have an array of switches.

I appreciate the feedback. Oh and those switches don't look too bad man I like em' lol. I have searched a little on line for somewhere I can get the factory mounts, but I haven't found anything so far. Granted I haven't searched a whole lot so I guess that will be something else for me to do at work monday.

I just came in from discovering my blown brake caliper. And I need to get an O2 sensor too....with 240's it never ends but you gotta love em' anyway lol.

i got your brake caliper, and possibly o2 sensor. email me at [email protected] and hit up ebay if you cant find something on here for your brackets. expect to spend 20% more on ebay than on nico for stock oem stuff, sometimes its worth it if you cant find it here.

not meaning to threadjack, but sirsilvia, assuming you used your stock dash, whatd you use to fill the hole and mount the switches where the little pocket area is? i have two switches i need mounted and i want to do them there.
