What kind of music do you listen to?

What is cheap/what is your budget?

Need to know the budget to determine what range of amps you can afford. Hard to reccomend subs without knowing the amount of power going to the subs.

I would go with one good sub instead of two cheaper subs. If you are going with the sub box on ebay for the A/C you can email the seller, and I believe he will make a box with only one chamber for a single 10" sub. Then you can use the other side to mount your amp.

To get the most out of your amp, you will want to run a 2 ohm load.

Here are some suggestions.

Alpine Type Rhttp://www.sonicelectronix.com....html

JL Audio 10W3v3-2http://www.sonicelectronix.com....html

Image Dynamics ID10D4 V.3http://www.woofersetc.com/inde...=4993

The suggestions are based off the amp specs. I am not familiar with that amp. I suspect the amp may not actually give you 500w rms. The above subs could be underpowered by that amp. I would wait for some suggestions from Apple/Doc/Vballer(If he is still alive )

I just bought two Clarion 10's (Model SW1051) for $99 off of buy.com with free shipping and no sales tax. I already had the spare plywood, 3" PVC pipe and caulk, so I built my own box for them for no extra cost.

In that price range you wont find much. I've heard decent things on the budget level about this sub:

Pioneer GTO 10

You'd have to be a bit careful with how you set your gains since a pair of those will only really take 400 watts RMS. If you decide against these, make sure you get two 8-ohm subs or two dual 2/4 ohm subs. You'll need to make sure you wire to a final load of 4 ohms or your amp will overheat and probably fry.

That website is giving conflicting information. Look at the features and specs page.

Amplifier Specifications Amplifier Class AB Number of Channels 1 - Mono RMS Power (4 ohms) 250 watts x 1 channel RMS Power (2 ohms) 500 watts x 1 channel RMS Power (1 ohm) N/A

I would go to the manufacturer's website or give them a call. It is extremely important to know the correct specs before buying your subs.

I plead the fifth in regards to the trash and debris on the trunk floor. I have a wife and a three year old, thats my story and I'm stickin to it

Yes, I realize the 10 gauge wire going to the sub box sticks out; I was going for functionality, couldn't hide it any other way.

And finally, I never could think of a nice way to cover up the contrast of PVC pipe on charcoal carper; I think maybe I could have spraypainted the inside of the pipe black, but its too late for that now and you can't see it as the sub sits anyhow.

Did you ever figure out the correct specs for the amp , and which subs did you go with?
