Wassup everyone! I'm new to this website and think that it's a great tool for anything G35 related. I bought my 05 G35 sedan back in December and I'm already looking to do some mods. I am ultimately trying to go for the "sleeper"/clean luxury mods. I want black deep dish rims to match the color of my car with a chrome lip. I personally think the multi-spoke designs go really well with this idea. The rims and tires I'll be buying will be for spring/summer months in Chicago, so the tires have to have a decent rain rating. I've never liked any of my old cars enough to "soop" them up, so I really don't know too much about performance upgrades, but I'm excited to get started. Please respond to this posting like you would be explaining things to a 5 year-old. Like I said, I really don't know much, but I want to learn. Any advice would be great, whether it be tire or rim advice. Also, if you know anyone in Chicago that has good prices on G parts let me know. Thanks again for your help guys, I'm interested in seeing what your ideas are. BTW: I just ordered my JWT Popcharger/Z-tube combo...hope I made the right choice. Peace.

I would go with forged 1-piece 19s. Look for something under 25lbs.

One of the sedan owners on here recently mentioned that adding on the 19" coupe rims made their sedan feel slower. And it's true, more weight farther from the rotational axis will do that.

If you're cool with 18s, that might be a better choice.

Not really sure what to tell you regarding the tires. I only run Ultra Performance Summers, because I live in Cali and we don't see much rain and definately no snow.

i have an 05 g35 as well and am looking to put on some new upgrades...as far as wheels go it just depends on how much you are willing to spend...the forged are very nice however i would recommend the sevas wheels....you can find them at sevaswheels.com...they are just like a lot of the top end wheels you will find on the market but are very affordable i believe...good luck and welcome
