We remove the original intake system and plenum
Image

Then we cover the intake ports to protect debris from falling in and begin removing the fuel rails
Image

The new higher flow injectors ready for install on the fuel rails

Image

Installing the cast alluminum Stillen intake plenum which has the heat exchanger preassembled inside. This is surprisingly light.
Image

The manifold is a perfect fit. No fiddling required and all fastener locations are perfectly machined. At the front you can see the coolant fittings for the plenum heat exchanger
Image

Another angle of the plenum, it's soo sexxy!

Nice shot of the plenum heat exchanger
Image

Removing the throttle bodies from from original plenum
Image

...and fitting them to the new plenum where they will run side by side
Image

The instructions call for extending the wiring for the throttle body wiring to allow the left side unit to relocate adjacent to the right one. Crimp connectors are provided (pink), we opted to go with solder connection and heat shrink tubing for a more factory finish.
Image

The CAN wires are then braided for noise supression
Image

less bulk without the crimp connectors and more of a factory original look
Image

Super clean result- almost factory

First we need to relocate the sub relay box offset to the right to clear the supercharger
Image

then easing in the preassembeled supercharger / secondary pulley system
Image

Nice shot of the pretty machined support bracketry
Image

Image

secondary drive belt system is visable behind the supercharger bracket
Image

then fitted new larger serpentine drive belt which runs on the additional pulleys provided in the kit.

No snags so far. The kit is well thought out. In the following pictures it is clear how tight a fit this is. In our opinion there is potential for problems if inadequate attention to fitment since clearance is so tight --> contact + vibration = installation related break down :eek3:

Location of intercooler coolant pump, at the top of the photo you can see the bottom of the supercharger and how tight things are. If the compressor even 1/4" larger, it would not fit. :NOOO:

Image

And the pump now installed
Image

The intercooler resevoir mounted hight so that air bubble can escape
Image

The intercooler installation had factory original looking brackets and allows a lot of unrestricted airflow to the the condensor and radiator behind it.(important on the VQ37)
Image

There will be a few hours of no pictures since the next step is routing a plethora of plumbing (and rerouting) to establish optimal set up. Not exciting but very important.

after the brain teaser of routing plumbing we get to put on some sexy parts...the charge tube

Image

did we say clearances are tight?? Props to Stillan, this kit has so many unique custom fab parts that there are endless possiblilites for manufacturing variances to cause problems, but everything has fit like a Swiss watch. But like a fine watch, the assembly is critical.

such a great post.
congrats and im just saying that i am super jealous as well as disappointed that my dealerships here in CT suck completely to be able to perform such an upgrade or anything for that matter.

So are you guys installing this on a new car to sell at the dealership, or is it a customer's car? Looks like fun! I wish I could stick one on my G...

Next step- upgrade fuel delivery. Remove the rear seat cushion to access the fuel pump assembly. Remove the assembly and the original fuel pump (pictured)
Image

With the nice Wallpro 255 fuel pump is installed, we remove fuel pressure regulator and enlarge the nozzle with Stillen provided specific drill bit.
Image

Another view of the nozzle before enlarging
Image
now enlarge the pick-up orifice tube with another Stillen supplied drill bit.
Image

Next we bleed the intercooler coolant, checked the oil for the supercharger and finally flash program the ECM with the Stillan provided tune. All that's left is our test drive....

The finished product is absolutely beautiful

The anticipation of the release of this kit made the install something everyone in the shop was watching intently. All of us were sneaking over to Abe hoist to have a look at how it was going. The Stillan VQ37 supercharger kit exceeded our expectations in terms of component grade, engineering detail and build quality. About an hour after the install, an engineer at Stillan called to see how the install went. They already had an updated tune for us which we installed and found to be perfect. Props to the team at Stillan!

It is hard to fully describe how fast this the G37 is now. It's almost ridiculously fast- totally addictive
