Yeah but he had to go through a ton of chemotherapy and stuff.
I'm not sure this will be a treatment that works for everyone, but it's amazing that it worked.

The way I see it...If they do cure aids...The economy will take a huge hit due to people not paying for all the tests and meds that they take now.

I doubt it, people are still getting fatter and fatter.

And this AIDs curing process isn't exactly quick and cheap..

:werd:

That's gonne be a highly expensive bit of treatment there.

And like Razi said, fat people are still fat, and only getting fatter.

Guess we had better not try to cure cancer, people might not pay their medical bills. :rotfl

I have found being an ugly dude with a low-paying job and no drug habit is effective.

No.

You guys didn't read the information. The guy had leukemia AND HIV.

He was taking the chemo for leukemia and then got a transplant later. http://www.foxnews.com/health/2010/12/1 ... ransplant/

Even better!
No need to go through chemotherapy is a big plus.

Can't help but wonder if the guy who was cured has a much much higher appreciation for life and all the little things now or if he just wakes up and says FML every time something doesn't go his way like 99.995% of humanity.

Yeah...but...

Fauci also pointed to the fact that this transplant process is not only expensive, it’s incredibly painful and complicated, and requires the patient to start a whole new regimen of drugs.

“This patient is trading one poison for another. He may not have to be on antiretroviral drugs anymore, but he has to take immunosuppressant drugs now to prevent the rejection of his transplant cells. Again, what this is, is an interesting proof of concept, but it’s absolutely impractical.”

:\

That doesn't sound too pleasant either.

My phone doesn't have that app I guess.

Anybody want to buy a Nokia cell phone that doesn't work and smells like urine? :frown:
