thinking of buying a 2003 G35 manual silver/blk leather interior for about $20,000 with 30k miles on it. so here go my questions for you any help u can give would be awesome:1. does this sound like a fair price?2. what if anything should I have replaced right away and how much will those things roughly cost?3. what 3 pros and 3 cons would you say about 03 G35 car?4.Ive noticed some greasy like condensation when i opened the hood, couldnt tell if the place sprayed something in there to shine it up or what, Im looking to buy this car in the am and will look to see if its still there, but didnt know if this sounds like any kown issues?thanks - supermario (G35 wannabe)

Sounds like a good price to me too!I would take it out and go thru the gears good running it up in the RPMs to check the synchros....what I would do with any manual. No worries going from a Benz to an Infiniti

I agree the price seems fair. I don't know where you are buying it but if it is not from an infiniti dealer then I would take it to one just to have them do a thorough inspection to tell you if there are any issues with it.

I believe '03 was the first year for the car so there are always kinks to work out but I do not remember hearing any major issues or dissatisfied owners.

The main thing is to have it inspected by a qualified infinit rep. Assuming everything is in working order and no issues then as long as you follow the maintenance program then I wouldn't expect any major issues until over the 100K mark. Even then you may not have any but you never know.

I had a '95 J30 with 133K miles on it when I got rid of it and the only major fix was $1600 for replacement of the bearings in the crankshaft. Not too bad for a 10 year old car with that kind of mileage.

Maintenance on these things are not always cheap but follow the schedule and you should be fine. Good luck and post pics if you buy it.

Later,B
