The fact that someone spent $10,000 on some badges to spoil a perfectly nice Q makes me cringe and shudder, like I was listening to nails on chalkboard.

Kinda sad for the guy who did it.

Probably not someone swimming in money but with a passion for nice autos, yet growing up in an enviroment unconducive to good taste.

No way. The Fierorrari is by far the worst combo ever. Too funny.

I have one to top it, the Fieroghini, a local guy built it & was soooo proud of himself. Lambo doors & all.

It's too bad he tainted that Infiniti with crummy Bentley badges.

Not as bad as a car as one in Toronto, that if you drive around enough you will spot. Its a 1990 to 1995 white Buick Roadmaster. What the owner has done is put on a mercedes-benz hood and trunk (off either a 400 or 500). Stripped the car of any GM motors branding/badging and put on MB badging from scrap Mercedes Benz models. The last time I was behind him he had the MB 4matic badge on the trunk (this made me howl hysterically). But what takes the cake is his homemade two tone paint job. The roof is painted gold (the spray paint type) while the rest of the body retains its white shade. I think the gold roof is supposed to match the gold mercedes benz rims (again spray painted). On top of that he's got a hideoous red tint and huge gold accents around the wheel wells. You have to see it to believe it. The sad thing is that the owner when the car is stopped at light thinks people are looking at his car because its so great. Little does he know that most people look at it and think how sad.

I think the badges hurt resale, which is great. I'd love to get a 99Q for cheap. I'd just have to spend extra later on for Infiniti badges.

This guy has crossed the boundary into outright Folk Art. Does he stay out of the fast lane? You gotta get a picture for us!

The thing I love about this Road-Benz guy is that you could tell him his car is utterly ridiculous and he'd think you were crazy!

Perspective: This individual can get a car, make parts fit, conceive a colour scheme, licence it, insure it (gotta to have insurance to get tags in Canada), have it pass inspections, maintain a valid driver's licence, maintain it, gas it up and not get busted or beat up. I went to traffic court once and Mercedes-Master has a lot on the ball compared to many in our society.

I forgot to mention he's also outfitted the Roadmaster-Benz with one of those single arm AMG wipers. Judging by its sweep reach it basically only cleans the center of his windshield.

I'm armed with my digital camera, next time I see it, I'm taking pictures and posting.

The car is somewhat legendary in East end Toronto. A friend of my mechanic told him, that you oughtta see what he's done under the hood. Apparently he's put in a "custom" paint job and all his ignition wires are different colours.

I think I'll buy it and put a continental kit on the trunk, maybe a fake convertible top too?

Those fake convertible tops are a big deal here in St Louis. Hard to not see a Grand Marquis, Park Avenue, or any other American boat without one. I even saw one on a new Camry.

if it had a mesh grill similar to the Bentley, it might not be so bad, oh, and no damn Bentley badges, might as well put an F1 decal on it and claim it's a 360 Modena...

that's too bad, that Infiniti looks like it's in really good shape. Why do people have to try and be clever?
