I doubt it. Using a MAFS meant for a larger engine on a stock engine will likely result in a performance downgrade, unless the stock MAFS was bad. Larger MAFS' are used to measure a higher volume of airflow and will typically be slightly less accurate with less airflow. Adding larger injectors will only compound this problem, resulting in a shakier idle and probably a loss in MPG, not to mention a minor power loss.

i have an off the wall kind of question.

if you upgrade your intake, then the "bottleneck" happens to be your exhaust, if you increase your intake and exhaust, then the bottleneck is your fuel (correct me if im wrong, heard it a long time ago.)

so by increasing your intake (size and cone?) then you have more air going into your engine, and then if you increase your exhaust (mani, cat back) you also increase how fast the exhaust leaves your engine? (work with me haha) then increasing your fuel will ultimatly result in no more bottleneck idea right?

if you did all that, intake, lets say venom injectors (10% more fuel flow), mani and catback, after all that would an upgraded maf make more sense?

obviously this is based on an n/a appilcation. AND i could be way off on my thinking, and its only something brewed off the top of my head.

and lets just say this is all true, imo sounds like too much money to spend on a simple item for n/a

Either way you wouldn't need to upgrade your mafs b/c i've seen stock mafs used with boost up to a certain point.

yes, but ive also seen setup's that are running 15+ boost and using a stock ecu and fmu, it can happen but it may not be the best setup.

i could see upgrading your maf on a forced induction setup, but the question, or idea i suppose, was ment for an n/a setup.

I'm hitting 4.6 volts on the stock MAFS with just a cat back and a tune.

only reason to upgrade a MAF is if you are maxing it out cause you have more air than it can measure.

You probly wont lose anything in perfomance by upgading if you get the ecu tuned for the MAF but you wont gain anything so the time and money would be wasted.
