this question is to those who have changed their belts, the belt on the inside track of the one that connects to the fan has a split in it. it has been running fine for about 500 plus miles, however im about to make a long trip over 2000 miles so i would like to change it so i dont get stuck in BFE be up a creek so i want to know what it would cost me to get just the belt changed it looks like a beach to get to so i dont think it will be to cheap but id like an estimate

thanks

those belts are really not that bad to get too. They look worse than what they are. If you jack the front of the car up and put it on stands, then you will be able to get to most of the tensioner bolts to loosen and tighten rather easily. You have one belt for AC, One for Power sterring and one for the alternator. Belts can be bought at Autozone,Advance or your favorite source for parts. They are not high and should not take more than 45 min to change out all three.

the power steering can be tricky, you might have to rotate the pulley to align the access hole in the pulley to lign up with the pivot bolt, also take the fan shroud off first thing, makes the whole process much easier, you'll need to get to both the top and bottom to replace all the belts
