Belt Trouble

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

Car: '90 240sx

I have a 1990 240sx and when i start it up there is a very loud squeeling noise which i assume is the belt. If i rev the car to about 3000 rpm the noise will stop even when the car drops back to idle. If anyone has any ideas on what it could be i would appreciate the help.

umm.... tighten the belt? There's a reason there's tensioners.
