Ugh, the tensioners don't rotate they adjust the belt tension on the pulleys.
Normal engines have one [set] for every off engine acessory: PS, AC, and Alternator.
Failure to adjust tensioners every 2 years results in more frequent belt replacements. But in the grand scheme belts should be replaced every 3 years or 36k in any event. The pulley bearings seem to last 6 years and 70k before needing replacement again depending on correct tension adjustment.
I always replace ALL my belts whenever I change batteries in May or June [every 36 months], as part of Summer preparation. Usually while I'm down there I'll drain radiator and replenish the 3-4 quarts with new blended coolant [to get new undestroyed additives].
All about best use of lift time while it's available.
You would be amazed what a trained experienced on the exact model technican can do in a full hour if motivated properly.
The time consuming part is getting keys, putting in floor protection, from parking lot thru the doors, setting up lift, raising car, getting belly pan on and off 12 screws and the reverse.........that all consumes 30 minutes and zero work is done!
