So my car decided to scream at me today. I was driving and all of a sudden i heard a loud, scratching noise, followed by a high pitched "EEEEEE!" I checked under the hood and saw that the belt tensioner by the ac looked crooked and falling off! Does that belt only power the ac and power steering? Because my car has neither haha. Would removing that belt do any damage? This is on a 95 ka.

if you don't use them then I guess they don't need belts on them.

I forget what all is on the alt belt? is PS on the same belt as alt?

Good job!! One less pulley the engine has to turn over, is a lil bit more HP the engine puts out.
