Belt Spray screwed up Alternator?

Sprayed some prestone Belt lubercant. somehow it got into the alternator. Now the alt bearings are making noise. it went away after about a halfhour of running but came back again. Any suggestions. I tried wd-40. it went away and came back after a few minutes. Next time I'll use the tried and true soap fix.

FYI I'm a weekend warrior who breaks more than he fixes and keeps my faithful mechanic busy, LOL

At least you didn't use spray brake cleaner and set the alternator and engine bay on fire, seen this too many times!
