has anyone changed their belt yet? the belt that goes around the pulleys that is, not around your pants lol I have a 3.5se coupe and I briefly looked under the hood the other day and it looks like that'll be a PIA. I think we're supposed to change it at 30k miles if I can remember correctly? I'm at almost 40k miles now and never changed it before. I know some people have a Stillen pulley so is their any sort of write up with pics or something on how to change the belt? any special tools needed? and how much does the belt cost?

It's required? The only reason why I changed the Belts on my last coupe ('02 Acura RSX Premium) was because the Alternator died @ 140k/km and we figured we might as well upgrade.

3.5SE looks similar to the Acura and it is a PITA, my cousin helped me out.

When it's time I will take it in to the Shop/Nissan.

I have the Stillen underdrive pulley and used the write up that is on Nico which was really helpful. You could just follow that write up and the only difference would be that you were just putting the same pulley back on. Word of warning, that stock pulley was a B**** to get off!

Pretty sure Dangeris did a write up on the Stillen pulley with belt instructions. Was out of my league...

I have 65k miles on mine, original belt, no problems.

If its not showing signs of wear (cracking, squealing) then I wouldn't worry about it

81k... no change. I'm about to take it in to have the original spark plugs replaced though.

Ps what is the difference between the Stillen and the stock??? I heard it was just a weight difference... maybe

For the 2.5 it is just a weight difference but for the 3.5 it is a lightweight underdrive pulley. The Stillen pulley for the 3.5 is smaller than the stock one which is why you have to get a new belt because the stock one would be too big (long?)
