I've been lurking and looking at posts since last Wednesday when I finally got back into a Nissan, 10 years after I had to give up my R32 GTS25 Skyline (and I still shed a tear when I remember that car). Thanks to a few people for posting on how to remove the center storage compartment and posts about Bluetooth kits etc, I got my Belkin Bluetooth Kit hooked up and most importantly, the wires hidden away as much as possible. Seems that that is the hardest part when the AUX in is on the front of the unit and there's no inexpensive way to put another one in the back. If anyone's interested in a review and pictures (install is done so there's only an 'after' picture) then I'll post it.

Otherwise, thanks for all of the good ideas I've gotten from searching this Forum so far!

That's a late reply to that post - but nonetheless I'll see if i can help. I can't seem to find the photos I took of the install back in 2014, but I can take some if it would still help. Basically I cut a hole with a hole saw in the top of the center console once I got it out that would allow the lighter adapter to fit into the center console box to be plugged in. I ran the aux in cable up the right side of the center console (between the hard plastic center and the softer dash on the outside) and into the AUX in on the front of the stereoe. I ran the Belkin button up the left side and positioned it just above the fan control. I used a foam pad mount but eventually that gave way so I used blue sticky tack and that's held for the last year with no trouble.

Amazingly, the orange light of the Belkin adapter (prior to being connected to the bluetooth device - in this case my phone) and the blue after connecting both match the standard lights in the Altima really well. I'd really like a full new stereo solution at some point, but the Belkin kit has worked really well for music playback (less so for handsfree audio but its ok).

I can go take some photos another day - but its dark now so they wouldn't come out so well! Let me know.
