I am going to be buying an '09 SL with the 360 package (due to hit dealers in my area beginning in July). Test drove an '09 LE and loved it.

I'm trying to decide on the interior color. I like the beige but the car I test drove (with about 3500 miles) had Beige leather and it looked a little dirty. I realize the dealership might not keep it as clean as an owner.

How hard is it to keep looking new? Is the black leather easier to keep clean? I don't mind the upkeep, I just don't want the leather to look crappy in a year.

We purchased my wife's 09 LE last Aug. It has the beige interior and about 12000 miles. I'm actually quite impressed with the way the seats have held up. I keep it clean yet can say it looks as good as day one.

Before you jump on that 3500 mile Mo have the dealer clean the seats/detail the interior to ensure they haven't ruined them etc. At 3500 miles you couldn't tell our Mo had been sat in....

Good luck

If you have kids then go with the black interior. I have two kids and no matter how anal I am about no food and wipe your feet before getting in, they still do it anyway. Black hides stains better than any other color.

It's my first black interior car and I thought that the heat in the summer would be bad but I've had it for over a year and the tinted windows and sun shade keep it tolerable and the A/C cools the inside very quick.

Something to consider is not the leather on the seats but the leather on the steering wheel. I have had 2 Infinity cars with beige leather and 1 Nissan Murano with beige leather on the steering wheel. In all cases the leather's finish began to wear (off) at around 30 K miles. I park in a garage every day so that may be part of the problem but...I never experienced / noticed the problem in cars with dark leather on the wheel.

I've had my murano 09 since Feb this time with beige leather seats and I actually like them than my old black leather on an 05 murano....i'm very particular with my car and making sure i keep it clean but this holds up better if you ask me.

What do you clean them with?? I have an 09 LE with beige interior and have seen some signs that worry me with regards to keeping them pristine.

Thanks

I LOVE the beige leather interior, I had it on my '03 Murano, '04 QX56, '05 G35x, and on my '-08 Armada. I never had a problem keeping it clean except for my black leather computer case made some marks on the seat, but that came right off......The beige is totally my favorite though!

I've had my '09 Murano for a few weeks, and I am also concerned about the beige leather. I have one pair of jeans that seems to leave a slight blue mark from me sliding in and out. I have washed the jeans many, many times, but there must be something about them...Needless to say, I don't wear those in the Murano anymore! (The mark did come off with a wipe)I have used the leather conditioning wipes that are sold in any auto supply store. Does a great job!

I've had the beige interior for over a year and 15k miles now - looks like new.

In Texas, it helps NOT having BLACK!

Enjoy..

I just purchased '09 myself about 2 wks ago with the leather tan interior and seats. I immediately applied leather conditioner in everything that's leather. It appears like the leather came from the factory with no type of leather protectant of some sort. Enjoy the sweet smell of leather cause it won't be there for long.
