But it makes it very comfortable for family riding on the back. I might do the same trick you did with thicker bar, ....or swicth to lighter car and buy minivan for family hauling.

Please, please, no offense to the 97> owners, but even as raggedy as my 91 is, I just didn't feel 'at home' in the beautiful, straight, clean 01 t.

They are quite different cars. The build quality on both is excellent, but the G50 was top of the line.
