Before:Here's my "SR20DET White Top"This thing sucked balls.

After:Here's my baby now. Powersteer, new intercooler piping (hotside), new HKS SSQV, got rid of any bull**** dangling wires, put brackets on anything and everything, new sub-harness. Even though this thing technically has the same power as before, it feels a lot more zippy-er if you know what i mean.

This is a major milestone to making this car less blackman-rigged. Lemme know what you think.

Big improvement, but needs more work. Find a bottle brush and plenty of soap, hit the firewall and all the tight spots.

That first pic reminds me of the cars around here. We have that very fine sand that gets all over everything.

With a spray bottle of Simple Green, spray down the entire bay, soaking it down, shut hood, wait 10 minutes, wash down with pressure washer. Re-do as necessary. Air dry and start the engine and run for 5 minutes. Spray down engine, rubber hoses, vacuum lines and ABS plastic with WD40 and then wipe excess off. Polish aluminum/chrome with metal polish and buff to a high shine.

he didn't paint the bay, he just cleaned the dust from bodywork on the rest of the car

looks pretty good, try just cranking up the air compressor to like 90psi and blast away (you missed the firewall).

I dont think he cleaned the engine bay, I think he painted it. If you look at it its fades behind the brake lines like it was sprayed not cleaned.

Dood, you might as well of just taken the motor back out and done it right. IT wouldnt be all that hard since now you have everything situated, all you would of had to do is pull everything out and just put it back. It would be alot faster than the first time cause it wont be a new thing to u.

It is a good improvement, I'm curious how long it took you to do. At seventeen I probably wouldn't have done as well. You can tell you got tired of the pre-paint prep work, esspecialy around the brake lines. Remember it's a lot easier to put on than to take off, in painting an hour of prep work is worth at least five hours of re-work.

looks good, roll with it for a while, digest what you've done and next time it'll be killa.

politically correct way of saying n*****-rigged, though it's still not close to politically correct. But, at the same time, if you're black and getting offended over him saying that then you should realize that it's a common saying and it's the 21st century, people know not to be blatantly racist in public anymore (unless they are just really stupid and naive, in which case they will get what is coming to them).

FSU your bay looks great other than those wires all clustered up by your fuse box.

Dude, install your damn P/S, forget that A/C, My CA powered S13 didnt have P/S and Ill be damn sure my SR powered 240 does, btw I just noticed your hot pipe, if your bov was welded on and less couplers were used, that would look cleaner also, but im an Engine bay fanatic, I love em clean.

It got really dirty because of body work. for those who where wondering.

Now, how hard is ac to put it... because god damn its hot.
