Not sure what it is but randomly I will hear a beeping alarm go off in the car. I think it has to do with traction control? Not sure. Can anyone shed some light on this.

Thanks

What exactly are you doing when the beeping is going off. For example if I open my passenger door while the engine is running and I am in D it beeps kinda like a warning. If the car is running and I keep my keyfob in my pocket and exit the vehicle it beeps several times and a No Key message appears in the trip area screen. I'm pretty new to this car so it appears normal to me.

Edit: Sorry forgot to add when my keyfob battery was getting low I heard a random beep as well but that disappears once you replace the batter.

CHEERS!

I can't really pinpoint when it happens but it happens when I'm driving. At first I thought it was when I accelerated too fast but then it would go off when i change lanes too and the lane departure feature is turned off. So I think it's random. Maybe its the batteryfor the key then. hmmm....

It's your LDW system (Lane Departure Warning) System. Read your manual, it'll tell you all about it.

I'd have to agree with the others. It does sound like the Lane Departure System. Look down at your dash when you hear it. If it is the LDS you will see the icon flash.

It really depends on what exact type of beep you are hearing. After thinking about it for a little while there are a ton of things that could cause a beep. You need to try to pinpoint what type of beep it is from. The key related beeps are different from anything that the AV or LDW system will emit.

The TPM system may be alerting you. Do you have your tires adequately inflated and programmed?

This reminds me of when my brother took my newly bought M out for a spin. He called and sound worried. "I think there is something wrong with your car...the traction control light and warning sounds keep going off". I laughed and told him to start using his turn signals.

if it's a long, sustained beep it may be the low tire pressure warning. Check your tire pressure

Yep, if there is a (!) icon check the tire pressure readings under info. Keep em above 32-34
