Alright my name is Tyler and I've seriously been lurking for like 4 years. Recently I've had the opportunity to pick up a CLEAN 1991 240sx hatchback. Let me know what you guys think:
Megan Racing coils
Rota Grids 16x8
no back seats-silly imo(daily driver)
SH*T 3" catback-new one in the mail already
I need to raise the rideheight because the speedbumps in my apt. building are tiny mt. everests
uncracked dash!
156k miles!

Looks like a Nardi to me :) Take more pictures of the steering wheel and the whole car. Don't raise your car lol. Hit the speedbumps at an angle. Car looks clean, and welcome to the site! I'm looking forward to more pics lol.

thanks! I'm going to keep it clean and daily driving status for a few years until i can actually get some cash flow coming my way...then comes super awesome racecar status lol eventually I'd like to get into autocross or something
costa_rican13 wrote:super clean also s14 seats ftw!!! looks like a real nardi too. which megans you have? street or track?
Ive never ridden in s13 seats so idk exactly how much more comfortable s14 seats are, but on the 4 hour drive home from picking it up they got pretty uncomfortable lol I'm almost positive the coils are megan streets.

As for my steering wheel, I'm beginning to hate it because the horn button is missing a contact and it doesn't like to stay in the hole(perverts...) I've kind of jerry rigged it to work by fitting the neg. wire into the side which kinda fixes both of those issues, but the downside to that is when I use the horn it likes to get stuck and I have to pull the button out to get the horn to stop honking :wtf2: any ideas? I don't really want to spend 50-80 bucks on a replacement that will most likely do the same...Thanks guys for all the positive comments! :bigthumb:

Pictures would be helpful.

Resist the urge to halfass little things like that. Get it done right, right now. Otherwise you'll be drowning in a sea of little problems down the road.

EDIT: Also how much did you pay for it? Nice S13 man, I'm jelly.

Yea im looking to get into a bit of autocross, and drifting for sure! I wanna take a couple race schools as well. Im gonna drive my KA til it dies then hopefully do an RB swap! But yea i know what your talking about, when on longer trips the s14 seats get a bit uncomfortable. They dont have the best back support, it doesnt really hug you. S13 seats are comfortable, but the best ones are the buckets from 89-90 s13! If all seat padding is intact, (no metal sticking out digging into your back lol) they are comfortable, and the headrest is right there behind your head for racing and support! Plus you got the whole in the back for racing seat belts/harnesses! I have no damn clue why nissan thought it would be a good idea to stop making those and go with essencially the same seat other than touring headrests, and no race whole! :gotme :wtf2: Im trying to find some. Im sick of my 1993 s13 seats with the s*** touring car headrest!

But if you want a good comfortable newer seat, but you dont want to have actual racing seats, i would def go with S15 seats!

I'll get some pictures tomorrow, what would you suggest I do? I'm kind of leaning towards a new wheel at this point because a new nardi button is 50-80 bucks depending where i get it from...
I paid 3300 for it some of you may think that's a bit too much but I think it's worth every penny I LOVE THIS CAR!

That's the opposite of what I've read so far. most of what I've read indicates that the s14 seats are far comfier than the s13s? Im confused now...

Well im fat, and i love the s13 seats for comfort, and back support. Ive driven my car hard around turns, and i drove this one dudes s14, and i felt that my s13 seats kept me glued to my seat (even though ima big dude) more than the s14 ones did. Plus i rode for 2 hours in my friends s13, and he has nice s14 seats, and after a while they got real uncomfortable. My back started hurtin a bit. I may still go s14 seats in my car (i dont plan on driving long distances) cause i dont like the 91-94 s13 seats. But i would much rather have the 89-90 s13 bucket seats. As long as they are in good condition... HEALL YEA!!

Alright here's the dilly
Image
That's inside my wheel under the horn button you can kinda see that there's two contacts one male(ground) one's female(power)

Image
The underside of my horn button-Has the male terminal for the female connector but is missing the female terminal for the ground therefore i cannot use this horn button unless it's jerry rigged

Image
How it's supposed to be???
