been having problems (battery/altenator)

i had a battery die on me so i replace it with a duralst gold 800 cold cranking amps but alternator light hasnot gonee off. wondering if i have to hook up ob1 to re set or if there is a simpler way to get light to go away or if i need a new alternator?

check your 75amp alternator fuse. if its popped replace. check the ground to it. and lastly stick a volt meter to the battery, 12V constant when car is off, 12.5v constant when car is on. also cheap test. pop ur head lights and turn them on start the car. if they get brighter then ur alt is working. who knows... could be a number of things. reply back
