Been busy, new job, lots of projects, figured i'd show you guys the newest one.

Bought it like this, paint wheels and all, only a lot more broke down (been a ton of work, but mostly labor, get a good deal on all my parts) 01 mercedes s500, some upgraded edition with heated and vented seats, power everything, factory air ride, all black leather, just as plush as it gets. Needed something a little more comfortable to drive around on the daily. oh yeah, and 21"s.....who the hell runs 21"s?

Beautiful!!

Watch out for the electrical, mechanical, suspension, body, and interior issues on the W220. The bottoms of the doors are prone to rust so brush them off right away if you get snow on them.

Now you can get that bumper sticker for your 240 that says "My other car is a Mercedes."

Welcome back, Jon, and nice ride!

Rereading my post it must have come across as pretty critical. Didn't mean for it to sound that way.

What I said was true though. I'm in love with the styling, power, comfort, and peerless prestige of the W220, but I've avoided them due to financially catastrophic problems and issues.

You should post interior pics. How do you like the COMAND system?

Jesda, suspension was blown out of it when i got it, replaced front air shocks and fixed some leaks; all electronics inside work.
We work on these cars on the regular, have yet to see any catastrophic failures, but even maintence parts/install can get pricey, but my job makes them reasonable.
I cant get enough of the power, its a rocket ship when you want it to be.
The command is great, navigation, and tons of onboard diagnostic/info displayed at the touch of a button.
