been doing research, Still curious though

As stated I have been looking around, but I have some questions.I am pretty sure that i am going to be getting the emanage ultimate for my na sohc ka because of its ability to fine tune, but has anyone ever heard of the maf translator gen II. The website is maftpro.com. Apparantly it has the ability with a wideband o2 sensor to automatically adjust the afr and is just over 250. Anyone who has used it or has knowledge they would like to pass on would be greatly appreciatedThanksMy car is fully built. 89.5 10.6:1 arias pistons and pauter rods balancedported, full 2.5 exhaust270cc rc injectors (possibly upgrade to deatsch 440cc and n60 maf with the emanage, to reduce running injectors and maf at high duty cycles)stock mafinjen cainology plugs, wires, and coilgrounding kitvenom high flow pumpmegan fprjim wolf ecu tunecolt cam regrindsnew valvetrainisky adjustable cam sprocketnew pumps thermostat, and all gasketselectric cooling fansno acunderpulleykoyo radiatorI just want to get the best system for my money, and it seems like the emanage has way more adjustability than an safc for a couple hundred more although way cheaper than standalone, and still emissions friendly.

if you want fine tuning get a emulator and software, plug it into your jwt ecu(I assume it has a socket in it) and tune it like you stole. emanage IMHO is overrated, it can adjust more than an afc but its still a piggy back.

you probably will never need to upgrade injectors on an n/a ka so save that money for soemthing else. from yo mod list it sounds like you at the end of things to do, now get it on a dyno and really tune it, said emulation device will be very handy on the dyno....

sorry for the lack of knowledge on the electronics, but what is an emulator and where can I find one. I will do some searching, but thanks for the response.

so i googled the emulator and it is definitely something that is over my head. I will have to talk to the one machine shop on maui that has a dyno and see if this is something that they will know how to tune.

the website I found that had the best info for me was http://www.securetranstronics.com and they had one for 250 and one for 180. Are they usually this expensive (although cheap for what they offer i know).

There is also something called the zomulator I think but was listed for the 300zx's at like 600.

If anyone has hooked up a romulator to a jim wolf ecu or used one on a kae then i would love to hear what you bought and where you bought it as well as some tuning info and software options

Thanks before hand and like I said I am still searching and studying what this is and how it works so leymans terms are awesome.zeropost?cmd=reply&id=2994704#

is there anyone out there that can give me some direction on where to go to search for a romulator and a location to research how to use it. I have read some stuff on hybridka.com, but it is all still over my head. Where did all of you tuners start? Also would you reccomend getting something that is already programmed (safc or emanage), but I can fine tune before jumping into something that seems as advanced as a romulator?

the other thing is I have a jim wolf tune that left my board with a programmed chip and socket, So from what I understand so far with a romulator I can copy the file on the jim wolf chip to ensure that the car will run when connected to the romulator, then create my own maps and save that then burn it onto another eprom or a version of them eeprom etc. If this is wrong someone please correct me, really trying to understand this tuning thing and romulators and emulators seem like the best and most cost effective way to do so. But is it plausible to once I see what the jim wolf map is just tweak it to get optimal afr and ignition timing?
