My tension rods need to be changed. I know pdm has the stock ones with urethane bushings. it seems like every other option is a thicker rod with pillow ball ends. are there any beefy aftermarket rods that i can pop some whitelines into or are the pillows my only other option?

pillows are probably one of the best options, considering they allow a small range of movement because of their design(a heim joint) but if you want a nice quality OE style replacement, check out heavy throttle, they've got NISMO T/C rods, with the nismo derlin bushings already pressed in.-chet

The problem w/ the harder bushing though, is that you can crack your lca. Like Exar said, the nature of the pillowball allows movement that helps prevent this from happening. Are you afraid the pillowball ones will be too rough or something?
