beefed up KA24

[240Dragster]

i've got an engines class this simester an i wanted to beef up my 240, i'm tossin around the idea of replacing the camshafts, putting stronger pistons an rods in, maybe a port an polish, possibly boring. What am i getting myself into??is this a good idea, do you think the KA24DE can take it all and peel wheel?thanks for your input folks.andy

Peel Wheel??? hmmm.

Depends on how much you want to "Beef" it up. You can make 500 hp out of a KA... Heck, I just met a guy last weekend building an 800hp for NOPI drags.

Just depends entirely on your money and your skills.
